Winner of the Entertainment Software Association of Canada's Student Video Game Competition 2020
Cold Sun is game made in our production class at NAD. It tells the story of a brother and sister that must leave behind their village in the hope of reaching a safe place to live. The game is set in desert wasteland, a post apocalyptic world where they will try to make their way to the oasis the last safe place in this world.
Technical Level Design.
I worked as a technical level designer on the game. Taking charge in all the optimization for the whole game. I looked at all the statistic and optimize everything from draw calls to direct lighting and shadow , even finding a memory leak. I also designed the last level of the game with my teammate Melissa Francois-Servant. We worked in a very efficient way, that allowed us to make easier change to the level or just update old meshes. I was also in charge of metrics for the game and the stealth in general.
